Lace & Ballet.....
What is more romantic (in home decor) than a pretty lace table topper, flowers and an unexpected something, which in this case is a pair of red pointe shoes?
I am loving red & cream/ivory together lately. It has a fresh look and is definitely pretty.

We have an ebay shop!
Yes, our sister online shop, Romantic Ruins, now has an ebay shop in addition to the etsy shop, where we can only sell vintage OR handmade items.
The ebay shop will allow us to sell just about anything that Tattered Rose has in the shop and/or collected personal items the owner has acquired over the years.
This is truly exciting! Now you can shop all across Canada, the USA or even the world!

Think Pink!
Today marks 7 weeks since I fractured my humerus (broke my arm) and also the first day that Tattered Rose will be open again (except for that Saturday a few weeks ago when I opened before I was ready)
When I was first told I would be off work for 6 to 8 weeks, I couldn't even imagine my store being closed that long. What about my customers? Would they be angry with me....would they forget about Tattered Rose....would they understand?
But I had no control over any of that because my body needed time to heal. It was NOT easy and there was a lot of pain & discomfort. But slowly, I started to feel a little better each day and as of today, week 7, I am in physiotherapy and making my way back to where I was before the fall, or as close to it as possible.
I have chosen to share my experience with you, my customers so that you would know why the store is closed. Otherwise, I am normally a private person with regards to my health.
So, beginning today (Friday) our temporary shorter hours will begin:
Wed - Fri 12-4 and Sat 11-3 (until I am 100%)
See you soon......and think pink!

To My Fellow Rebels:
A New Start
Yes, we were supposed to try re-opening last Saturday BUT a nasty flu bug got the better of me. So that on top of the broken arm thing was just more than I could handle as far as opening the store.
However, things are progressing. The flu/cold is lessening and definitely no longer contagious. I am no longer in the sling and the physiotherapy on the arm is coming along....slowly & painfully but I am more than ready (mentally) to be back at Tattered Rose.
Therefore, the store will be open this Friday 12-4 and Saturday 11-3. Four hours is probably my limit for now. Beginning next week, our hours are looking like Wed-Fri 12-4 and Sat 11-3......until further notice.
I am a rebel in my heart but my right arm isn't always doing what I need it to do so I ask for your patience with my limitations. Range of motion & strength are not quite there yet. You may have to help me pack up your purchase, for example...or help me take something off a mannequin....until my arm returns to "normal".
Thanking you in advance.....looking forward to seeing everyone!
Let's have a rebellicious Spring!

Sorry....false alarm.....we will NOT be open on Saturday, Feb. 4th
The best laid plans can sometimes go askew.....
While I had planned to be open tomorrow (Sat. Feb. 4) I do not believe I can open the store on Saturday because I have caught a very bad cold/flu from my wonderful husband. I can't remember that last time I was sick like this!
So, not only do I feel up to going in but I do not wish to give this to my customers.
I apologize for my premature optimism that I would be able to be open. My (broken) arm is also not quite ready so perhaps this is God's way of giving me more time to heal.
