The DUSTER

There are not many items of clothing that evoke such a mysterious and romantic vision of the past, present & future as the duster coat.
Tattered Rose has always and will always carry many versions of the duster coat.....from cotton to linen to lace or brocade....we have them.

Did you know that the "duster coat" was created in the early days of the automobile to keep dust off the clothing of the people riding in them? Back then, around the late 1800's to early 1900's cars were open to the elements...as in no sides, which made it a rather dusty experience to ride in one. The duster coat protected both men and women's clothing.

Over the years, the duster coat has been adopted by cowboys to fashionistas alike. Such a great piece of history and a truly remarkable item of clothing....the DUSTER.
